One of the many bonuses of being back in Wellywood is having all these cool beaches just a hop, skip & throw away from your front door. Wellington has also been experiencing some pretty warm weather (unbelieveable!) so we've been trying to get out as much as possible to make the most of sun & sand.
Seatoun beach is just a short walk from the new HQ so we spend many hot afternoons down there - Micah chasing the waves, Isla eating the rocks & the rest of us lazing on the shore.
Another bonus is having Aunty Sachi, Uncle Mareko & cuzzy Micah around... more people to enjoy the sights with! Isla LOVES her cousin Micah and follows him everywhere. She is learning some valuable lessons from him - like the pecking order of him being older & therefore the boss! Am sure Isla will only be more than happy to pass this life lesson on to the next addition that comes along ;)
Mark and I were just laughing about this the other day - how we used to live in Sydney which is famous for its beaches and hardly ever went to one. And lo and behold, we move to Wellington and we're at a beach every other day! lol
ReplyDeleteWe were at Paraparaumu Beach on Tuesday and it was great - definitely have to go there with Isla and Micah some time before summer finishes.
Oh yeah, and Micah is lucky to have such a patient younger cousin who doesn't seem to mind if toys are snatched away from her and doors slammed in her face. Can't wait for the battles when she's able to hold her own!!! :)
"Isla eating the rocks" LMAO! That's one good thing about being Samoan, the pecking order is established and enforced at a young age.
